Wednesday Vignette: Drama

Yesterday our state of Missouri was voting along with many others on who would be the candidates for The Election this November, and the most Super thing about this day was the weather. Temperatures of 82ºF (28ºC) made working in the yard for several hours a treat.

As early evening arrived so did this impressive cloud, catching the feel of the day so well. Bright, unusual, dramatic, and a little bit tense.

***

I don't often get to see winter trees against clouds of this sort!

Have you ever looked at this type of cloud with binoculars?

It's impressive and fascinating watching the details of the clouds billowing and growing.

The underside was much darker of course, reminding us that drama usually contains an element of darkness:

I'm pretty certain we're in for several more months of drama.

Spectacular! Indeed, the MOST SUPER thing of all...! Very cool. Thanks for sharing!

So very true, Alan - in all its beauty, I did feel a bit ominous... just like the discontent lemming behavior of the voters does - at least to me. This year's election scares me, and your awe-inspiring photos of that billowing cloud illustrate it well. It feels kind of like a spectator sport, just before the crash.

Your images captured the drama of the cloud very well! I'm only a bit jealous of your warm day.

Wow, those are super dramatic clouds. They trumped whatever else was going on.

The warm temps only lasted a day, but they'll be back soon enough. We usually have a very brief spring.

Gerhard: Nice.
