Quick look

I've got lots of things I want to get done in the garden this morning before the temperature hits 95F, so I thought I'd just post a few of the "survey" photos I take once in a while.

I use these to track the progress of my plants over the year, as well as comparing past years.

They're not the most artistic photos, and these only cover a small portion of my yard from a couple of angles, but thought I'd share. (These were actually taken a week or so ago, so things have changed already!)

It's hard not to look at this bamboo all the time.

As always, the images can be clicked for larger versions, especially so with the panoramic shots -- those are quite large!

The prairie garden (left and center above) is a little disappointing this year, as none of the salvias reseeded. This is unprecedented in my garden, as usually there are dozens of seedlings that I need to pull out. I'm scrambling to find some seed that I saved so I can have a few of these plants blooming late this summer.

That's my veggie bed behind the fence back at the bottom of the hill if you didn't notice it. I need to do an update on it soon, as most of the cool-weather plants are gone and the summer crops are in and starting to take off.

This is the view standing with my back to the pond:

It's so nice back here in the morning... so cool and shady. It's difficult to be standing next to the pond without looking at it.

I've noticed that there's not too much in bloom right now back here. Now that I think of it, there's usually not too much blooming back here -- foliage dominates the back yard for the most part.

(Sorry for the short post!)

I've said this before, but I love your garden. It's so green and lush. Your hard work really shows.

It looks so nice. Lots of green there.
We're heating up here, and the rains keep missing us. Won't have green here much longer.
I'll just have to visit your garden, for that color.
Have a great weekend.
