Emerald Jumper

Saw a cool little spider on the rose the other day...

...and I just had to snap some macro shots. Note that if you're not a spider fan, you might not want to continue reading because the remaining images are a bit closer.

Not that I have the best macro lens ever made... but it gets the job done. This is a pretty small spider, as those are rose leaves.

I like that the green stripe...

...matches its eyes.

I bet there are 100 different species of spiders in my garden. Why can't I see them all?

(not all at once of course, don't get crazy)

I love spiders! That green stripe is so pretty. My favorite of the local jumping spiders here is Phidippus johnsoni, the black and red jumping spider.

Pretty, but I always think spider eyes are so creepy! But they can be both! Good luck finding the other 99 species.

Cool spider. The stripes, the marks, the green eyes!

Baffles me why some people are afraid(?)of them.

Definitely not a spider fan, AT ALL. Still I can appreciate your enthusiasm and good picture taking! Love that green strip.
