Wednesday Vignette: Texture

One of the things that gardening and spending more time observing Nature up close has done for me is make me appreciate textures and patterns and colors. Not just those found in the garden, but those found everywhere.

Here are a collection of some that I've found over the past few months that are mainly from places other than the garden. For more Wednesday Vignettes visit Anna at Flutter and Hum -- her vignettes are a lot more meaningful than mine ever are!

Okay not a single vignette, but I rarely follow the "rules" of Anna's meme.

You probably noticed that some of these were taken in the bakery.

Groovy colors and textures! The second picture has me stumped.

Haha - I'd say only occasionally meaningful - this week's certainly was not. But you, on the other hand, has revived a fun game - as in guessing what each texture is. Love it! It could be a meme, in and of itself! :)

Maywyn: I knew that one would give it away!

Peter: The second photo is the only garden-related one of the bunch: frog eggs!

Anna: But then I'd have to remember what each of them was! I don't know what the second to last was...

I really agree that gardening really nurtures a deep love of color, pattern, and texture...Great photos.
