Flashback to Springs past

Since spring is holding out and I'm unable to bring myself to get out into the cold to scrounge up some halfhearted photos of crocus or daffodil foliage emerging or whatever, I thought I'd take a quick look back at some things that really cheer me up...

...starting with kittens! Read on for more and for some cheery springy/summery photos from the past.

***

There were just the two kittens born in my garage in April 2010...

...but those two have enough cuteness to go around, don't they!

Spring means blossoms...

And woodchuck sightings...

...and bamboo shoots of course:

Which reminds me: I'll be doing some rhizome pruning this weekend since the weather will be nice. Since I skipped fall pruning, I expect to be seeing lots of this:

Wait, I thought this was a post that was going to be cheerful! This is certainly not (at least for me).

The pond fish always cheer me up!

Unless I start thinking about the pond cleanup that I plan for this spring...

So I'll think about other ponds that I've seen:

And other wonderful inspiration from trips:

I was going to continue, but that last image (of the Queen of the Prairie bloom) may be the most uplifting and cheerful photo I've ever taken, so I'm going to end with it.

May spring soon arrive for us all!

I think cute kitten pictures should convince Spring to hurry up and get there already! And that last picture is lovely. Enjoy spring!

Cute kitties! Beautiful pictures, Alan but I could have done without seeing that long bamboo root as it reminds me that mine need pruning too! Last picture makes me feel the warmth!
