Introducing: Trang

I told you that I've had three projects going recently and shown you the first (Bayce), the second (my chair refurbish), and now the third: Trang!

What is it? Read on to find out what Trang is all about...

***

You are probably already familiar with Whorn, my "cube" stools (or tables, depending on how you want to look at it). Well, Trang is Whorn's cousin. Similar in concept, but triangular instead of cuboid.

It's a unique and somewhat amazing shape...

...especially to a curious cat (Luna):

Feet are a bit more interesting than Whorn's cubic ones too:

A return to mild weather gives us a chance to see what these look like out in the garden (photos taken just this morning):

I love the way that the shapes combine when a pot is on top!

Trang is available right now from Nimble Mill. Check out the Trang product page for more information and to order.

You know you want one - order before the price increases for Spring! Ships anywhere in the US via UPS Ground.

Also, please note that I've finally created a Nimble Mill Facebook page -- please Like it!

Trang, you are one cool-looking fella! You'd go very well with my Whorns :-)

I love the legs! Very unique looking.

Okay, now I have to ask...how are you coming up with inspiration for your product names?

Alan  – (January 29, 2016 at 7:12 AM)

Gerhard: Thanks, and it would indeed!

Renee: it is quite unique -- hopefully in a good way?

Loree: The names are variants on what the product says to me. "Whorn" because the cubes have a "worn" look with all the rounded corners. "Bayce" because I somehow got to "base" via a synonym chain from "container". "Trang" because it's triangular -> triang -> Trang. Simple! :)

You have such a wonderful and rare creative touch.

Thanks for explaining! I figured that was the case with Trang, but couldn't apply the same logic to the other two.

Another exciting introduction! You've been one busy woodworker. Thanks for the explanation of the names as I, like Loree, was wondering.
