Look up!

This past Sunday I heard a hawk calling overhead, and automatically looked up to find it. It turns out there were several hawks cavorting in the sunshine of a beautiful day, but what really held my attention was the sky.

Such interesting texture for such a thin covering of clouds -- I just had to take photos immediately, even if I only had my phone with me.

As you may know, I love taking photos of clouds, and am always amazed by the variety they can display. These were so textural!

I like to think the hawks were trying to get everybody's attention, shouting for us to look up and enjoy what is happening above us.

I'm glad I paid attention to them!

Nice reminder to appreciate the beauty of the sky. We actually saw a little blue in the pacific northwest yesterday which is unusual and much appreciated during the annual rain festival (October 1 - July 4.)

I love blue sky and clouds photos. And did you ever (well, pretty sure you are younger than me) but did you ever imagine in your youth that every living creature would have a phone in their hand and a camera in their phone? I use my phone camera most every day. I enjoy this itsnotworkitsgardening. Thanks!
