It's that time of year when the Salvia leucantha starts blooming. I thought it was a bit late this year, but I checked my post from last year and this is the right time for it.

They're just getting going, so only a few photos today.


I couldn't wait to post these though, as the fuzziness always gets me.

Why so fuzzy?

I don't really care why -- they're some of my favorite flowers!

Alan, ours is a full bloom. To me, there is no better harbinger of fall than Salvia leucantha. I love the fuzzy flowers, too.
