When temperatures hit 95ºF (35ºC) for several days in a row, you find yourself having to water the potted plants and those just recently put into the ground pretty regularly.
It's easy to overlook something.
This poor scouring rush (Equisetum hyemale) took a hit:
I expect it will bounce back after some consistent moisture and a bit of fertilizer. If not I have another pot of it that I can divide.
Do I have anything that I need to scour?
I suppose that if this is the worst example of my accidental neglect then I should be pleased.
Is this going to be a record-breaking summer?

Oh my, 35 degrees! Stay cool!
Let's do a weather compromise, you send us some warmth and we'll send you some of what we have. It's stormy and cold here, rain coming in sideways, thunder and lightening predicted and a winter storm warning in place for elevations above 5000 feet.
Yikes, that's hot. We're in a bit of a late spring pattern this week (low 80s), but temps will skyrocket to 105° and up next week.
Mark/Gaz: your comment reminds me of the Portland Fling where I showed you the temperature in ºF and you both just sat there, then I switched the display to ºC and realization showed on both of your faces. Priceless. :)
