Gerhard Bock (Succulents and More) – (January 23, 2013 at 9:24 AM): Love the venus fly trap. I haven't had one in years. I should get one this year, they're fun to watch.
Steve Lau – (January 23, 2013 at 10:40 AM): If you happen to be new to venus fly traps, one thing about them is that they can't stand extreme cold however they do need a cooler dormancy period so they are kind of fussy.

I used to grow it, but now I prefer pitcher plants since they can be grown outdoors easily

Lisa: Maybe. Carnivorous plants have been on my list for a couple of years now.

Does anybody know if deer and rabbits eat pitcher plants or venus flytraps?
